How do I get emails?

Luxes 23 Apr, 2014
Hello,

I'm using ChronoForms V5 but I don't know how to send emails. I want users to upload an image and send it to my mail address, I have both Uploads and Email on enable, I receive the "Thanks" message but I don't receive a mail. Can someone help me with this?

Hi Luxes,

Please try to use different addresses in the To and From email boxes ? you may also enable the debugger and check if the email is actually sent and the file is uploaded.

When I do that I get the "Error: 404 - Component not found" page.

I don't get any mail at all, even if theres no file uploaded. I always received mail with the older version of ChronoForms so I thought it might be a setting I missed out.

Changing the emails returns this error ? you get it on frontend or admin ?

Did you change/add any fields ?

I don't know what causes the error. I tried to change some things like changing de mail addresses back and the debug off but whatever I do, I keep getting the error. Yes I changed a field label... And what do you mean with frontend or admin? I changed it as admin if that's what you mean?

I mean you get the error when saving the form or after form submit on public website ?

I guess its the 2nd, do you have any fields with name = option ?

Ah, like that, no I get the error when I submit on the website itself, (when I should see the Thank You message) not on the administrator of Joomla.

No I doesn't named any field 'option'.

Just send me a link to the form either here or in the PM so I can check it!

Admin helped me very good. I have no idea what he did with the problem that I don't receive any email but it works. For the upload error, the 'Extensions separator' must have a '-' in it. Now I receive the email with attachment.😀

One last question, when you submit the form, the user can see 'Data Array', 'Errors' and 'Debug Info' including with the Thank You message. How can I make sure that the user only sees the Thank you message?

Hi Luxes,

No problems!🙂

That's the debug info, please disable it under the "Setup" section!
