CF5: email error

After completing a form 2 emails should be sent, I get the following errormessage:

Mailer Error: Could not instantiate mail function.

Could you explain why the email (sendmail) works fine with CF4 and NOT with CF5?

No, I've no idea. Max re-built all of the code in CFv5 and, so far, I have very little idea how it works. I suspect though, that he is no longer using the Joomla Mailer in the same way.
