Plugin not working

jj135 20 Jan, 2014
Hi,

When using CF5 with the plugin the form is not submitted. I put the plugin code in <div> tags and checked for unwanted HTML tags in the article. In the FAQ about this:

Using the plug-in can sometimes cause problems with form submission. Usually this is because ChronoForms tries to use the page URL as the basis for the form action. If SEF is turned on for the site this can give odd results. Please try setting Relative URL to No on the form General Tab (click the form name link in the Forms Manager to see it).

But there is not a setting like this in CF5?

When I test the form from CF5 (select form, click on 'test') it shows up OK in the template and the form is summitted OK.

Am I missing something?

Hi, I also tried using the CF5 module and place this in the article with {loadmodule modulename}. But this also does not submit the form. After clicking on the submit button the page just reloads and the form is empty.

Now I also have a website with Joomla 2.5 where the plugin is not working anymore. The form is not submitted. I worked before, but not anymore. Maybe a Joomla update caused this? The Joomla version is 2.5.17. I also installed the latest (J25) CF4 component and plugin.

In both cases (J25/CF4 and J3/CF5) I oticed that reloading the page after it is not submitted correctly causes the form to e-mail the results and redirect the user. As it should. So I seems not to work on pressing the submit button, but it does send the data after en page reload... :?

Answer
mmm, I did not check the 'Relative URL to No' solution on this J25 website. After setting this value to No it seems to work fine again.

Hi jj135,

This issue is usually caused by the Joomla Cache and the solution is by setting relative url to no as you did!

Ah. found it. Thanks! I have to get used to CF5 a bit, but I think I like it so far ;-) Keep up the good work!
