Register page won't add to Joomla User Management

teebee74 03 Jun, 2008
Hi Guys,

First time post here.

I have created a custom registration page and followed the little documentation i have found on this site and other.

I have added my form code, linked the joomla registration to the form with the correct name fields. I have also "ticked" joomla registration and put "1" in the plugins tab.

Once submit is pressed, the next page shows "Please enter Your Name."

My problem is when a new user registers, it appears fine in the chrono management data but will not populate the Joomla User management data.

I have spent the past 2 days trying to work this out and hope someone can lead me in the right direction.

Thanks guys/gals

Hi teebee74,

Here's an image of the main steps in setting up the form correspondence with the Joomla Registration.

I have the exact same problem, I cant seem to make the plugins work. Could you post like a tutorial with example fot the extra code on how to use Chronoforms for CB Registration / Joomla REgistration with the plugins?
I did what you show in here and still get the Fill in Name problem

I too am still having no luck. I had filled in the form correctly and Bob said he would have a look at it. Hopefully he can find the the problem.

Hi all,

everybody has a problem with this please, upload a form backup here and remove any critical data like your own emails, tell which chronoforms and joomla versions do you have, post a screenshot of the joomla registration plugin page like Bob's one but filled with data!

Cheers

Hi all, I just figured how the match for the plugins works:

CB Registrarion:
- first create all of field forms in CB.
- then do as told above in this thread, 1 & 2 (check on the CB plugin and check on your on form)
- then when filling out the form in 3, what you must do is fill in the id for the fields, the variables so the plugin can match your form with the names asigned by CB

Then it will work, it did for me and I was having the same issue as teebee74.

Hi dlarez,

That sounds good to me.

Well, I'll be buggered, it works!

I haven't touched the code or settings in a week.
Try it again, same settings, same code and now it seems to be working. I can't explain it. Might have been the order i did it originally.

But problem is solved.
Thanks for everyones help!
Especially Bob for his time.

how to make my form appear in Joomla administrator page??F.I.Y,i create my form using dreamweaver and have no problem in submitting the form in Joomla.however, problem comes when the adminstrator want to approve the form in Joomla.how could i make the form that i created appear in Joomla administrator page??
GreyHead 12 Jun, 2008
Hi dieyana,

ChronoForms doesn't support showing forms in the back-end (though it's probably possible).

I'd suggest that you create a form - maybe using the Profile PlugIn - that will let the admin view the form in the front-end. You'll need to check that they are logged in and authorised to view it - otherwsie you can show an error message, or redirect to the home page.

can u help me??i had created the form i wish for the admin to approve the form submitted by the user.however problem come when the administrator want to publish the form.do ChronoForm have special code for publish?

Hi dieyena,

The Profile Plugin is a ChronoForms plu-in - it comes with ChronoForms so is already installed for you.

What do you mean by 'Publish the form'? Are you trying to use ChronoForms to publish site content? (It's not very good at that.)
