Need basic tutorial on building a simple dropdown list

Hello,

I am looking for a simple clear tutorial on how to add a simple dropdown list of choices to my form. I can see when selecting checkboxes group, and radio box, that there is an "options" field where I have successfully entered value=label for a number of choices and have successfully viewed these on my front end form... However when I select dropdown instead, I no longer have an "options" field where I can enter the value=label entries... Any help on what I am doing wrong? I can see a Yes and No in the dropbox itself, but do not see this field on the configuration page where I would edit and change these values.. Is there a different location where these values are entered? Sorry for newbie question, but I have searched forum and google and can't find where this options field should be. I have attached a screen shot showing my config page for this dropdown element.
