Emails not being sent

Grizzled 17 May, 2013
Hello,

I am using Chronoforms 4.0 RC3.5.2, Joomla 2.5.8.

I have set up forms and the mail several times but I can't get the email to send.

I have set up the Global Configuration email and have test extensively comparing it to other successful set ups.

When I submit the form, it does go to a custom Thank You page we created and it shows no errrors, the only problem is no emails show up in any email boxes.

Not sure what to do next.

I have checked spam and junk in all emails tested and nothing.

Hi Chuck,

Please drag a Debugger action into the On Submit event, then submit the form and post the debug - including the 'dummy emails' results here.

Note: if you are using the Easy Wizard you can turn on Debug on the Others tab.

Hi Bob,

I turned on the debugger. And no errors showed.

It's a true mystery!

Thanks, Chuck

Hi Chuck,

Hard to make any more comment without seeing the debug information. I have looked at the form but there is nothing much to see there.

Hi Bob,

What should I do, I turned on the debugger and nothing displayed. Should I reinstall?

Thanks, Chuck

Hi Chuck,

This it sounds as though the form isn't submitting - or is redirecting before it gets to the debugger action. Please take a Form Backup using the icon in the Forms Manager and post it here (as a zipped file) or PM or email it to me and I'll take a closer look.

Hi Chuck,

On the form General tab you have the Submit URL set to index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=98&Itemid=608 This means that the form submits to that URL so ChronoForms never sees it and can't do anything with the form results.

Everything else looks OK to me.

Hi Bob,

I put that code in there so that upon submit it would go to a custom Thank You page.

Where do I put the code so after submission it goes to that thank you page?

Thanks, Chuck

Hi Chuck,

On the Others | ReDirect tab of the Easy Wizard or use a Redirect User action in the Form Wizard.

Hi Chuck,

It probably has to do with SEF URLs, try setting Relative URL to No in the form General tab (click the form name link in the Forms Manager to see it).

Hi Bob,

That did it!

Have a well deserved, long weekend:)
