Rokbooster Conflict with Chronoforms

ironlion37 26 Mar, 2013
Hi,

I use Rockettheme templates a lot and I've found an incompatibility between their "rokbooster" plugin and chronoforms.

The functions of the rokbooster is to compress css and javascript files:

http://www.rockettheme.com/extensions-joomla/rokbooster

It provides the ability to add exceptions, but based on the error created on this site:

http://jesseheath-artist.com/

Warning: finfo_file() [function.finfo-file]: Failed identify data 0:(null) in /home/content/xx/xxxxxx/xxxx/xxxx/plugins/system/rokbooster/lib/RokBooster/Compressor/File.php on line 446

I'm not sure what file(s) should be added as an exception to avoid the error. An example of one that is already added:

/media/editors/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js

I have isolated that it is the published chronoform that is causing the error to appear. Can you tell which file(s) I need to add to the exception box?

Thank you!

Hi ironlion37,

I'm sorry, I have no idea what file is causing the problem; my experience with the Rok GZipper (which I assume is a related product) and ChronoForms has been uniformly poor - it always seems to break something. It's probably a question of trial and error I'm afraid, exclude all the CF files, then un-exclude them one by one until something breaks :-(

Thanks Bob,

I've excluded all of the following:

/components/com_chronoforms/
/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/
/modules/mod_chronoforms/
/plugins/content/chronoforms/

The error still persists. Are there any other chronoforms file in a Joomla 2.5 installation?

Hi ironlion37,

I can't think of any other folders with ChronoForms specific files in them. Can you see anything else if you look at the compressed file?

Thanks Bob. I found the following setting in rokbooster got rid of the error:

Inline Page Images: No

I'm having another issue though which is that the captcha is not working. I've completely disabled rokbooster and cleared all caches. I also tried disabling true type fonts under captcha settings. The captcha says "incorrect" on every submission...

I'm leaving rokbooster disabled until you've had a chance to look at it.

Hi ironlio37,

Glad you found setting - I wouldn't have know what that meant.

Does the Captcha problem happen in all browsers?

If it does, then please double check the Event Loop placement.

We've seen some recent reports of problems with Safari and possibly Chrome. So far I have no idea what causes them as the Captcha should be browser independent.

My best suggestion is to switch to ReCaptcha or to Security Questions until this is resolved.
