Hi Guys,
I'm having a little issue, my hosting provider had some issues with someone running malicious script on the server my website is sitting on and in the process of fixing things broke my chronoforms plugin and cannot put things back the way they were.
The plugin shows up in the plugin manager but does not work meaning I am left with {chronoforms}formname{/chronoforms} around my site.
I am trying to remove the plugin in reinstall it, however... When I try to do so it says the manifest file cannot be found and if I try to update/install the plugin is says it is already there. Now, when looking in the ftp side of things I cannot find any reference to the plugin under plugins/content.
Any help on how I can resolve this problem?
Thanks!

Hi jimdda,
Get your hosting provider to restore from the backup they took before messing with your site?
You've tried the obvious things. Check that you are installing the correct version of the plug-in - the 'missing manifest' sounds a bit odd. I don't think that Joomla! keeps records of the installed plug-ins anywhere in a database table so removing the folder should be enough to uninstall.

They had already restored from the back up which is what broke it. All changes made after their back up were lost :-(
Would the plugin be listed anywhere else in the files? Just to be sure that I'm not missing any files that I need to remove where would all of these be found?

Hi jimdda,
I don't think there is anything except the files in the plug-in folder but the Joomla! docs should confirm that (or not).
