Test Form send mail, form on site does not

neglect 03 Mar, 2013
Hi,

My problem is straight forward but I can't figure it out:
I made a form using the easy wizard with name, address, email, datepicker and validations on email and names. When I use the "Test Form" link this works exactly the way I want it to. Email arrives just fine.

I then put it on the site in the article. The form shows perfectly. As far as I can tell it submits but no email is sent.

Test works, live version does not. I don't get it: arent they exactly the same?

EDIT: when I click "front end view" and test it there (so on my site, in the article) it also works!!
What is the difference between the "front end view" and browsing to the page where the form is located? this difference probably explains my problem.

Hi neglect,

This is probably a problem with SEF URLs on your site not letting the form submit correctly. Please check the URL it submits to?

Also please try setting Relative URL to No on the Form General tab (click the form name link in the Forms Manager to see it).

Hi Bob,

Thanks for such a speedy reply.

I tried to disable the relative URL setting but as far a I can tell it didn't change anything.

Concerning the SEF URLS, that sounds like it could be related: the reason I am working on a form now is that all my other forms suddenly stopped working. Unfortunately I dont know when exactly as I didnt test the forms for some time but i did set up SEF URLs.

I tried to see to what the submitting URL is but I'm not sure how to find it. I checked the page i get sent to after pushing the submit button but actually I dont know whether that is good or not.

Oh wait... I had to clean the cache.

Tried it again, and I do get a "Thank you " message that I set up now. Should be the relative URL setting then?

BUT, no email arriving...

EDIT: email does arrive. You fixed it!!!!
