I have several forms and the captcha works on some but not on others.
I keep getting the error "You have entered the wrong verification code."
I enter several new codes and always get the same error.
When I test the form (with the testing function), everything works. When I test it through the "Front End View" link everything works.
When I put the link in an article or on a menu, I get the verification code error.
I have recreated the forms and tried everything I can find/think of to fix this and don't have any idea what to try next.
Hi Kimark,
Which versions of Joomla! and ChronoForms are you using?
Do you have Joomla! caching (or any other page caching) enabled?
Bob
Hi, this is Joomla 2.5.8 and ChronoForms 4.0 RC3.5.2.
The Joomla System setting for caching is set to "disabled." I'm not aware of any other caching utilities on the site.
I've made another discovery...
If I fill out the form the first time, it seems to work. If I navigate back to the form and do it again, it fails. If I clear my temporary internet files, fill out the form, it works the first time, fails the 2nd time. Cleared the temp files one more time and had the same results.
So, does this point to something in the temp internet files? If so, how do I fix this? It is affecting numerous people using numerous browsers.
Hi kimark,
Please post a link to the form so I can take a quick look.
There have been several people posting about this in the last few days - but nothing has changed in ChronoForms for a while. Maybe just serendipity.

Just replying so I get notified of posts here... I want to follow this issue.
Hi Kimark,
I was unable to get the form I tested to submit at all. I'd suggest that you try switching to ReCaptcha or the Security Questions anti-spam tests and see if that fixes the problem.
I couldn't see any obvious explanation - though I did notice that the 'plain' form URL redirected me to the site home page so possibly there is some odd redirection happening - though I don't think this is the problem.

PS I also noticed that the form validation isn't working on the page in the template (though it is if you view the form without the template).
I had this same problem. I would say that usually it worked... the code would be recognized, but sometimes it would just fail for no reason (and not human error either). I got reports from some people that no matter what they did, it would fail. It's not specific to a particular browser.
I have just started using ReCaptcha instead, though it was a bit tricky to take my existing (long) forms and convert to ReCaptcha at the bottom, but I was able to do it.
I am using Joomla 1.5.23 and Chronoforms 4. MySQL 5.5.28, PHP 5.3.18.
thanks,
JC
