Missing Table Manager?

tshirley 16 Dec, 2012
Hello,

In Chronoforms V3 and Joomla 1.5 there was a Table Manager option in the Forms Manager page, that allowed me to manipulate the tables from within Chronoforms, to add or edit fields in the tables.

In Chronoforms V4 and Joomla 2.5 this seems to have disappeared. Perhaps it has just moved somewhere, but I can't find it.

I have added a new item to an existing form and I want to add the field to the table. At the moment the only way I can think of is to use phpmyadmin, but this seems like a backward step in functionality and convenience.

Cheers

Hi Tim,

I don't know why but it didn’t make it into CFv4. You can use PHPMyAdmin, or the AceSQL Joomla! extension if you know the query syntax for adding a column.

Thanks..

I have discovered that if I select "Create Table" when there is a table already linked to the selected form, the table details are opened and it looks like I can add and edit the table there.

I have not tried this as I am not sure if it will create a new table overwriting old data, or just include the new column.

Cheers

Hi Tim,

I just tried, there's no error but neither does the table appear to be updated :-(
