Not receiving emails from chronoforms v4

itzbilly 06 Nov, 2012
Hi

I'm running joomla 2.5, using chrono forms v4.

I followed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCqEKeMW3h8 to create my form for emails but do not receive any emails.

The debugger shows:

Can someone help me please? I have checked my spam mail as well, nothing there. The joomla's stock contact form doesn't work either, is that maybe an issue? Global settings has emails set to PHP mail.

Hi,

If you cant get emails to send then try this:

#1- switch the mailing method under Joomla global config.
#2- change the from name and email.
#3- ask your web host admin for some hints or guidance.

I had the exact same problem and the only way I could solve it was to set the "FROM" address to one on the same domain otherwise most hosts block the email from being sent.

eg:

Site is hosted at www.mysite.com

I had to make an email me@mysite.com for the emails to work.
I then utilised the "reply to" boxes to put in the info of the person submitting the form.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the help, everyone. I was able to get it working after contacting my web host to set up SMTP.
