How to use Watchman

He there,

Today in downloaded the watchman plugin and installed it. The problem is i don't get it work.

In the form wizard i put the watchman on a lot of places in events, but it doesn't work.

Can anybody tell me where i have to place the watchman(gh) and where to place the "show html" and stopper.

Hi Emil,

The Watchman plug-in will normally be the first action in the On Load event of your form before the Show HTML.

Out of the box it doesn't do anything. You need to set two things (a) when it is triggered - either by a user group, or by dates/times and (b) what should happen when it is triggered. If you leave out either of these it will do nothing and the form will be displayed as normal.

Thanks for your answer. I still can't work it out. In the attachment i put a screanshot.

I set that everybody can see the form except public. The form doesn't show when i'm public. But the form doesn't show when i'm logged in aswell.

I think i do something wrong in the events but i can't figgerd it out.

Hi Emil,

I found a bug that causes this problem if there are no opening and closing dates set :-(

I've updated the version fro download on my site and sent you a PM with a copy.

Thanks for the update, it works better now, but i guess there are still some problems.

The form works fine when i select a group. But I can't show the form to public.

The thing i want is to set the form open from and till a certain date for all visitors.

I can set the form open for a group from and till an certain date. But not for all the groups (public included).

Can you help me out?

Hi Emil,

Please try unselecting all the Allowed Groups - then that tab should be ignored and all users given access.

I'll check what is happening with Public later. It may be a change in Joomla! 2.5 that I've missed.

When i unselected all the groups, the form doesn't show to any of the groups. 🙄
