Dynamic email

deafbiz 21 Aug, 2012
I have a form that has a mother's email and a father's email and the form is sent to the school office. I've set up dynamic email as mom_email,dad_email. What happens is that office gets two emails, mother gets two emails, and father gets two email. Is there a way that every one gets just one email? The reply to: is the office email address.

Hi deafbiz,

It does sound as though the email action is being run twice - though I don't know why :-(

Please drag a Debugger action into the On Submit event, then submit the form and post the debug - including the 'dummy emails' results here.

Note: if you are using the Easy Wizard you may need to switch to the Advanced Wizard to do this; if you want to continue to use the Easy Wizard please make a copy of your form first and add the Debugger action to the copy.

Keep in mind that there's two email action with form information - one to the school office and one to the parent that filled out the form.

Hi deafbiz,

It looks to me like there are two emails both of which go to the school and to the parents. That would explain wheat you are seeing.

Any suggestion to reduce the duplication?
GreyHead 22 Aug, 2012
Hi Deafbiz,

Only the obvious - either remove one email or change the To Email addresses so that one goes to the school and the other to the parents.
