I am using CC 4.0 RC3.1 and CF 4.0 RC3.4.1.
When I create connections and display them on the front-end, changing the value in the limit box does not change the number of records being displayed. The list refreshes like it is going to change, but it does not.
You can see this happening here:

Hmmm, I will try to test this here later today.
You should not keep your emails addresses unprotected, use the "Task control", setup a control for the "List task", and use a "Joomla Plugins" action before the "ChronoConnectivity Task" action in order to load the "Email cloaking" plugin to protect the emails.
Let me know if you need help and I will try to write a tutorial about task control!
Regards,
Max

Thanks for looking at thisπ
More importantly, though, thank you for the info about using the email cloaking plugin. I would have probably figured out that the emails were unprotected after it was too late!! π

No I haven't, because I don't really understand what I am supposed to do. I am confused by:
That's what I was awaiting a tutorial about.
Also, what about the original issue that the limit is not working?

Hi Rick,
Ok, as promised, I will try to write a tutorial in the next couple of day, in the meantime you should disable the emails column.
Regarding the list limit, there is the "Default list limit" under the "Frontend list setting" tab, you an switch the limit there, but it will be fixed, I found that it may be dangerous in some situations to allow the user to change it, if you have a table with 1000s of records and the user selected to display them all then this may kill your database, however, there is a bug some where of course, I will try to find and fixπ

Max,
Regarding the limit - I could not agree more. I assume I can just remove the limit selector from even showing? Perhaps a better thing would be to not include "All" in the limit selector, and make the max display, say, 100 records? Maybe!!
Anyway, I will test again when you find the bug.
And, I will take down the email column for now. Thanks!!!

Hi Rick,
If you dig far enough back here - maybe a couple of years - there was a post where I worked out how to remove the 'All' option from the pagination to stop the possibility of a server crash. A bit of JavaScript probably.

Please Max, give us a fix for this.

Hi Michele,
Not yet, but I was very busy with some stuff here!π
You can contact me through the "Contact us" page to get the updated files which fix this problem, I still didn't decide when we will have the new release published, but I think this week maybe.

Max,
Any chance you could assist me in protecting the email addresses? I cannot figure it out and I need to get this project out to my client.
Thanks!!

Hi Rick,
Please check my latest CC tutorial about task control at the FAQs section, you should use this with a "Joomla Plugins" action, this will allow the "Email cloaking" plugin to secure your addresses, hopefully!π

Max,
Thanks for the pointer. I feel really stupid here, so please bear with me...
Right now, I am not using a form in conjunction with the connection. I am just using CC to display the list on the front-end. Do I need to create a separate form with CF in order to use the plugin?
Again, sorry for being obtuse!!

Max,
I am completely lost. I attempted to follow your FAQ, but I just cannot figure out what to do. Here's what I have so far:
1) A CC connection named "allteachers-Test", which uses a custom list;
2) A CF form named 'testing' which has three actions: a) Show HTML, b) Joomla Plugins, c) ChronoConnectivity Task with the Connection Name 'allteachers-Test'; and,
3) A menu link on the front-end to the CF form 'testing'.
The list is displaying on the front-end as expected, but without any email cloaking. The part of the example I am confused on is what to put in the List Data Task Control section. Which action do I reference, and what would the name be? I tried several combinations and none worked.
