Internet Explorer Issues

aforantman 05 Jun, 2012
Hi all,

Having some issues with IE and a Chrono Form on one of our websites.

http://111.223.236.35/~bigboys/index.php/contact/work-with-us

Internet Explorer 6 and 7 don't display the checkboxes that are included in the form, which are a required fields in this particular form. Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10 display the check boxes, but the form cannot be sent. Clicking the submit button either acts as a "return to top" style button, moving back to the top of the page, or simply does nothing.

Is this a common issue? We have been having complaints from the client regarding form issues, and it now appears that this may be the cause of the problem. :-(

Hi aforantman,

Please try turning Input Formatting Off in the Template Advanced Settings and see if that fixes the checkbox problems.

Hi Bob,

We're using a Rocket Theme template, and have turned off the "Input Styling" in the Advanced tab of the template. Doesn't appear to have made any difference. 😟

Hi aforantman,

There seems to be a problem with IE9 in IE7 browser mode that the Position: relative CSS setting for the Checkbox containing divs makes them invisible - I think that they are moved off the page. If this is removed then the checkboxes display again but the layout is a mess. Sounds as though some CSS tweaking is called for :-( You may need to remove some of the ChronoForms CSS and replace it with something that works better with your template.
