hey everyone, hope we are all doing well.
I recently used jupgrade to update a joomla site from 1.5.26 to 2.5.3
all the chronoform tables are in the database and i just recently (today) installed the latest chronoforms. As none of the component files were brought over😟
Problem is, all of the forms that were previously in the joomla are now gone
Is there a way of getting them back?

Hi Tanya,

If you were using ChronoForms v3 on your Joomla! 1.5 site then there is no automatic upgrade to ChronoForms v4. You have to rebuild your forms in CFv4 to use them on Joomla! 2.5

What if we upgraded from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5 when we already had the most recent version of ChronoForums 4 - should the forms come across to the new install? Because mine didn't.

Hi Phil,

As far as I know, provided that you are running CFv4 on both the sites then using Form Backup and Form Restore should allow you to move forms between the two. There are no significant differences that I know of.

Okay, that works well. What about database tables? Is there any trick to migrating them over so I don't lose all of my data?

In fact, is there any documentation on how to successfully migrate CF from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5? (I have purchased a subscription.)

Hi Phil,

Just backup and restore the tables to the new site. The only thing that needs to change is the table prefix if that is different.
