Backup to Excel

shd 07 Apr, 2008
Hi,
At first I'm using the newest version of Chronoform.

The problem is that when I want to back up the table to Excel (2003) I get this warning.

<b>Warning</b>:  tempnam() [<a href='function.tempnam'>function.tempnam</a>]: open_basedir restriction in effect.
File() is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/id02989/:/tmp:/usr/local/lib/php/) in <b>
/home/id02989/domains/orangedanceedition.nl/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronocontact/excelwriter/PPS/File.php
</b> on line <b>87</b><br />

Uhmmm, what could be the problem?

Hi Stephanie,

Where do you get this warning ? where does it appear ? and do you get prompted to download the excel file as this is what should happen ? also, please try to go to your joomla global config and set the "Error reporting" to none and see if this helps!

Let me know!

Hi Stephanie,

The open_basedir config that your ISP has set up is preventing php from creating a temporary file. They should be able to tell you the correct php settings to have this work OK.

Hi there,

At first, many thanks for the quick response.
For the moment I had no time to try your solution.
(The problem was to make a backup for Excel from the table! That gives the error!)

I will be back soon!;)

greeetzz,
Stephanie
