Click Submit - Empty page - no source code

joeyscc 01 Apr, 2008
Just made my form... filled it out for a test, and pressed submit, redirects to a totally blank page. There isn't even any source code, a total 100% blank white page.

Any ideas?

Just to let you know, I've used chronoforms on my site that I just replaced with joomla 1.5 and this newer chronoform component.

***ah... just found this: http://www.chronoengine.com/component/option,com_fireboard/func,view/id,5342/catid,2/

So I tried it with session handler off. So the really big question is, how will this affect the site operations and what components. It's obvious this is a problem if people have to start turning things off or hacking code to make something work. Has anyone heard more about this issue of sessions?<br><br>Post edited by: joeyscc, at: 2008/04/01 10:09

Hi joeyscc,

If you are getting a blank page the most likely reason is that there is an error in some php in your form code.

What happens if you download the test form from here and submit that?

Hi... I just downloaded the test form to restore it as the instructions said to, and when I click to do this, the form doesn't show up, in fact after doing this, its an empty forms manager window although when I click on "forms manager" link only my other two forms I made show. So it looks like the restore function either isn't working at all or there is a bug elsewhere.

Hi joeyscc,

Hmmm, looks like a problem with your Joomla installation in that case. Do you have the latest version of ChronoForms for your Joomla version?

Latest download of chrono yes.... I just tested this on my local server as well on a clients site I am making. IT worked there but not on my own site.

Only issue is, that if I need to reinstall joomla 1.5.2 again, its a nightmare. I am going to try another forms component and see if this has the same kind of issues or not...

So far it now looks like this one issue is my joomla

Hi Joeyscc,

If the site's on-line I can take a look. And by all means take a Form Backup from the Forms Manager and send it to me (address in my sig) just in case I can spot something odd.
