Hi.

When i submit my form i get the following error msg

Fatal error: session_start() [<a href='function.session-start'>function.session-start</a>]: Failed to initialize storage module: user (path: /tmp) in /home/sites/primelanguages.com/public_html/components/com_chronocontact/chronocontact.php on line 199

I dont know where to start with this one!
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi glens1234,

The error message is because your server is trying to write the imagevalidation session data to file and can't access the file or folder for some reason.

I'm not sure if there is fix fro this in the forums but it has come up before.

Which version of Joomla are you using?

ok so this was linked to image varification.

Well ive taken the image varification out of the form now so i dont get the error msg. Im still having issues with the form.

After i complete the form, at the top of the page i get..

_POST: Array ( [f-name] => glen [tel] => 0136472690 [s-name] => simister [fax] => [org] => [email] => [email]glen@yahoo.co.uk[/email] [transTypeGroup] => normal [languages-from] => 1 [deadline-day] => 19 [deadline-month] => 03 [deadline-year] => 2008 [wordCountGroup] => word_count [inputWordCount] => 1000 [additional-comments] => [submit] => Get Quote )...etc.

And the email does not arrive.

Anyway, ill perhaps need to spend some time looking into this before i make any further assumptions.

Hi glens1234,

I just tried the form - useful that Debug is on - and see the 'Email sent' message. This means that, as far as Joomla can tell, a message was sent to the mailserver you have specified fro your site.

If it doesn't arrive then check spam folders and spam filters and see if your isp has any record of what happened to it.

thanks bob. yeh the emails were going to my junk folder!

You also answered my other question...

I didnt realize i had debug turned on which explains the data etc at the top of the page.

All works fine now including the uploads!

did you ever get img verification working. i get the same error.

Hi,

If anybody is using J1.5 and got this error then there is a patch available to fix this, just search the forums for "blank page"
