Desperately Need Help

chadev74 19 Jan, 2012
I just created a form in Joomla 1.7...I have three questions that I am having problems finding the answer to...

1. My form is not even, when posted it is not aligned evenly. How do I correct this?
2. How do I link the designated email address to the Submit button at the close of the form?
3. I followed the directions of the Plugin to {chronoforms}formname{/chronoforms}; however, the form only displays when I transfer the HTML code over.

I hope someone can help me on this...thanks so much!!!

Hi chadev74,

Thanks for the link to the form.

This doesn't look like a ChronoForms form - it looks as though you have copied and pasted the Form HTML into an article as you say in Q3.

That just won't work: [list]
  • The ChronoForms CSS & JavaScript files are not loaded (so your form layout is just from your template.

  • There are no <form> tags so the form won't submit.
  • [/list]

    Please click the 'Frontend View' link in the Forms Manager and check that the form looks and behaves OK from there.

    If the plug-in code isn't working then my best guess is that either you haven't installed the ChronoForms plug-in or it isn’t enabled.

    Hi there,
    I just posted a form to a site and when you type in the email address and hit submit you get this:

    <script type='text/javascript'> <!-- var prefix = 'ma' + 'il' + 'to'; var path = 'hr' + 'ef' + '='; var addy28606 = 'martinayoung1974' + '@'; addy28606 = addy28606 + 'gmail' + '.' + 'com'; document.write('<a ' + path + '\'' + prefix + ':' + addy28606 + '\'>'); document.write(addy28606); document.write('<\/a>'); //-->\n </script><script type='text/javascript'> <!-- document.write('<span style=\'display: none;\'>'); //--> </script>This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. <script type='text/javascript'> <!-- document.write('</'); document.write('span>'); //--> </script>

    I have used this before but never received this. The field is set up as a required field and as an email address...any help!!! Thanks!!!😀
