[SOLVED] Forms not displaying

hernacar 25 Dec, 2011
Hi there,

I'm using ChronoForms v4 on a WAMP server (Win 7, Apache 2.2, PHP 5.3) with Joomla 1.7.3. I've used ChronoForms before under this configuration without issues.

I created two forms, 1 being the form I want, the other a test after form1 wasn't displaying. I read a post similar to my issue, and the suggestion was to change/disable suhosin due to the number of variable data ChronoForms uses. The test form held only 1 field. Running Windows, suhosin is not an option, I think.

The only thing that shows up is the Powered by ChronoForms link when checking the front-end view. Module, plugin and component are published. Using Firebug in Firefox, no html shows up other than the aforementioned link.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Same situation on my PC. Only difference is PHP 5.2.11
No form displayed no error messages.

I have also tried this on a Linux Apache2 server with the same result: All I get is the "Powered by" link, no form, no errors in the log. ๐Ÿคจ

Hi hernacar,

Sorry for the delay I was away for Xmas. You probably need a Show HTML action; please see the video 'A First Form' from here.

Greyhead, thanks for pointing out the obvious; and sorry to have bothered you over something this silly... When I get some money, I'll see what I can do about getting you a beer or two.

Could solve that if i was able to get the events tab working as as soon as i click it the compatibilty mode is disturbing the screen so i can hardly select the event te drag and drop.
I have seen number of posts of this issue but also not able to solve that.
Using Ie8...

Hi muldeer,

Hard to say without more info.

First, upgrade to the latest version of CFv4 RC3.0

Second, try a different browser (IE9, FireFox, Safari, Chrome, . . .).

Third, check that you have the Joomla! MooTools Upgrade plug-in enabled.

Thanks i am using the latest version and i know that IE9 solves the problem. But my company is still using IE8 so have to stick to that.

Hi muldeer,

I can only suggest that you report the problem directly to Max through the Contcat Us form here. He may have some idea what is forcing the IE8 page back into IE7 compatibility mode.

Hi muldeer,

Please open the "view Page source" in the wizard and check for any "meta" tags loaded which mentions IE7 ? if not then could you please test the wizard on another PC with IE8 ?

Max
