Subject and from in emails are empty

Subject and from in emails are empty I have filled the relevant fields,

Also my required stops at 100
I probably need update, can I update by overwriting with newer of do I have to uninstall and reinstall? If so what happens to the forms I've already made?

There's a fix for the length of the 'required' field in this thread

You can update by overwriting the existing files (except that I need to upload an extra file for the 2.3.8 upgrade I think). Always good to take a back up of the files and the database first though.
