Hi,
I have used the free cronocontact on one other website and was impressed at how easy it was to implement a form in joomla. Now, I want to buy a license. However, I already have the free component installed. Can I upgrade to the paid version without destroying the forms and table data I already created? Also, I want to be able to remove the link at the bottom of the form.
Thanks

Hi pxforti,
Two answers to this. When you buy the license, Max will send you a registered copy of ChronoForms. You should probably upgrade to the latest version then. Take backup copies of your forms from the Forms Manager, backup any ChronoForms forms files from your database; then you can FTP up the registered version to your site. You may need to update database tables but Max has special forms that will do this for you.
If you prefer to uninstall and resinstall then - provided that you have backup copies you can restore the form database tables using PHPMyAdmin and then restore the forms from the Form Manager.
If you don't want to upgrade for some reason then email Max or me and we'll tell you how to remove the link.

Hi,
I just downloaded the free version yesterday. I'd rather not reinstall. Can you tell me how I can remove the link. Also, if I remove the link, will my version then be the same as the licensed version?
Thanks

i have the same problem, i was quite willing to buy but i'm not as technically gifted as some people could you please let me know how i can remove the license text please? please?
Hi followyourexit,
When you bought the license Max should have sent you an copy of the current version without the license text. As long as this is the same as the version you have installed (or your installed version is reasonably current) you can just copy the new chronocontact.html.php file over the installed one.
