I received the following zip attachments with my purchase of 5 licenses for Chronoforms:
ChronoForms V2.5 J1.5 RC1 Licensed.zip
ChronoForms V2.3.7 Licensed.zip
ChronoForms Bot V 0.5 Licensed.zip
I am doing a clean install on Joomla 1.0.13 Stable [ Sunglow ]. I would appreciate specific instructions regarding which version to use and the installation order.
With new versions of Chronoforms out, upgrading vs. clean install, the instructions on the main site are regrettably IMO confusing and not very well presented (the Flash tutorial seems outdated and does appear to apply well to the attached zip files I received).
Any help in plain text😛 would be appreciated.

Post edited by: zeroflux, at: 2008/02/11 02:40

Hi zeroflux,
You should install v2.3.7 for Joomla 1.0.x (v 2.5 is for Joomla 1.5). Use the ChronoForms Component installer in the Admin menu.
(Actually there's now a v2.3.8 released for Joomla 1.0.x so you might want to download and install that instead.)
If you need the ChronoForms mambot to include forms in Joomla content pages then install that using the Joomla mambot installer and then publish it.

PS I agree that the Flash tutorial is outdated😟 I have a new one ready to load (but now need to update it for the new version). What specifically is unclear about the upgrade and install instructions? We do assume that if you are using Joomla you can install a component; the upgrade packages simply need to be FTPd to overwrite the existing installation.
