Hi

I got the Joomla contact form working on my development site but i was hoping to get the chronoforms one working as i'm worried about my client getting spammed!!!

I followed a couple of tutorials but no luck. I just keep getting this error.

Fatal error: session_start() [<a href='function.session-start'>function.session-start</a>]: Failed to initialize storage module: user (path: /tmp) in /home/devxskil/public_html/components/com_chronocontact/chronocontact.php on line 199

I got hold of a contact form from the net and copied the html code in there. However i've just followed one of the tutorials above and i get the same error message.

Hi halford,

Which version of Joomla are you using? If it's 1.5 then you need to set the Session Handler to None in the Global Configuration | System tab.

oooo that worked!!! the only problem is it hasn't come to my inbox.

Can this form be linked in with articles?? On my site i was hopeing to have a little google map and the other contact details. I have it sort of working using the built in contact form but not sure how to do it with this one!

Thanks for your help so far....very quick!

Hi halford,

Please check this FAQ where we listed the mot common causes of problems with emails.

You can put the form into a content page using the ChronoForms Mambot. Install and publish it and you can use {chronocontact}my_form_name{/chronocontact} tags in the content page.

Basically I want the contact form on the same page as the content i have at the moment. I have a google map and the addres and contact details of the place. The current contact form thats built into 1.5 doesn't allow me to do this.
