Hi John,

The J1.5 release is out 5 minutes ago with two known limitations, please check the home page and download it from the downloads area, we will be very happy to hear from you after you give it a try, this is still the first BETA release, hopefully we have the stable version by the weekend.

Cheers

:P Installed easily without any problems. Also I did not find any issues that prevented my simple first form from working.

I did change line 390 in admin.chronocontact.html.php as follows

<td><input type="text" class="inputbox" size="100" maxlength="256" name="redirecturl" value="<?php echo htmlspecialchars($row->redirecturl); ?>" /><strong> by default(if empty) will load an empty body area</strong></td>

As distributed the input box size and maxlength prevented me linking to a specific Joomla Page.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

I have installed Chronoforms for joomla 1.5 too.

But how can I make a form?

The tutorial say

------
#2- Go to Components > Chronoforms > Configuration and click "Save" but don't change anything! Yes, for now don't change anything!

-------
I have only Components > Chronforms > Forms Management

There is no "Configuration"

Hi Anita,

I haven't even had time to install the new 1.5 version yet and the tutorials are a few versions behind. I think that everything has been taken off the old Config menus now so you can ignore this step.

I suggest that you create a very simple html form and copy that into the HTML code field, then add 'from' and 'to' email addresses and a subject in the General tab, set debug on and check the results. (I'm assuming that the 1.5 interface is very similar to 1.0.x - if it's not then I apologise in advance).

Hi Anita,

Yes, Following Bob's steps exactly will let you test the J1.5 component capabilities, just take care the Antispam image and the mambots will not run fine yet at this beta release, everything else should be fine unless somebody face some bug we didn't found😉

Hi Anita,

It looks as though something is wrong with your installation. You should see a set of form tabs when you click on 'New'. The video tutorial shows this though it is now several versions out of date.

What versions of Joomla and ChronoForms are you using?

Try uninstalling ChronoForms from Joomla and reinstalling from scratch using the latest version (if you aren't already).

Hi Anita,

Please follow Bob's steps and let us know, another user reported the same problem for me through the contact page, if this is the case then it may be Joomla has some js problems or may be chronoforms itself, lets just see what is this and try to fix together🙂

Cheers

Hello,

I am having the same issue. The install works great.

I go Components > ChronoForms > Form Management > New

and I don't get anything but tabs. Clicking on a tab does nothing. Sometimes when I refresh I can see fields, but it flashes away as if it were being layered over by the white background or the tab's main width is too much or something.

I'm Joomla 1.5 RC3, IE7 and I desperately need a forms component for my site.

Thanks!

Jimmy

The error is only in IE7 so far. I am able to have the component work fine in Safari and FireFox.

I have found on several occassions that if my main or center column is too dynamically designed in the CSS file, IE7 will wrap things weirdly. I usually get around this by putting a defined width in the CSS file for that section. While its not ideal programming, it usually gets the job done for IE.

Maybe thats a trail of breadcrumbs for the dev team. Thanks for your continued work on this project!

Hi,

I`m using Joomla 1.5 (updated to RC3) and the new version of ChronoForm. I have already uninstalled an reinstalled the component.
The problem appears with IE7 and firefox.

It seem there is a problem with the medía manager too. Since I have updated to RC3 I can´t upload images.

Anita

thanks for your help!

Hi,

I don´t know why, but now it works with the firefox.
Perhaps because I updated the datebase?
I found a sql file in this folder:
joomla-1.5RC3/installation/sql/mysql/diff.sql.

I have updated some language files too.

In the IE7 I can´t see any form.

But when i disable css with the AIS Toolbar the forms are visible.

Hi Ani,

Joomla 1.5 using too much js at the backend now, and the first moment the page is loaded yes the form doesn't appear, you should wait till the page loads the whole js files, this is joomla core issue, I will see what can we do with this or will ask at the joomla forums, you can post there too!!🙂

Thanks!!
