Fatal Error: Class 'JModel' not found

poke 19 Oct, 2011
Hi

I install a new joomla 1.7 and chronoforms V4 RC2.0 and the plugin V4 RC2.0.

I've created a form and want to display via the plugin in a content.. I've done it many times (in the older chronoforms version). but now the form will not be displayed.

when I view in the admin frontend-view I get the following error message:

Fatal error: Class 'JModel' not found in / home / website / public_html / modules / mod_weblinks / helper.php on line 14

what am I doing wrong?
or what I forgot?

:-) Now I have changed the form to easy mode - now it works and displays. hmm .. why is this so? what can i do to use the advanced mode? what i have forgotten?

Hi poke,

The error message is from the Weblinks module, not the ChronoForms module. The JModel file is a core Joomla! file so it has to exist on your site.

yes, it's the weblinks module. there is a conflict somewhere with this core-component of joomla. if I disable the weblink module, no more error message is displayed (the form is created in extended mode is still not displayed.).

However, currently I can make do very well with the easy mode! ;-)

the new ChronoForms component looks great - congratulations on the successful work. ;-)

greeting, poke
