Hi,
I just bought a license and I'm trying to Restore the following Submit Article application with the latest version of ChronoForms. It doesn't recognise the file as it's looking for a .cf4bak (instead of .cfbak). Is there a new version available? Or am I missing something obvious? Many thanks,
John

Hi bowman9991 ,
The submit_article form is for ChronoForms v3. ChronoForms v4 has a Submit Article action in the Utilities Group.

Ahhh, that makes sense. Thank you. I'll try to work it out. I'm new to this, but it looks like ChronoForms is an amazingly powerful tool (I've tried lots of other Joomla Form tools, and this is way ahead).
Hi Bob,
Ok, I've set up the Submit Article form - and it's brilliant! Just getting one issue that I think is related to another issue I'm having with a "Contact US" form I set up.
Basically, when a user submits an article it sends the details to admin via email. However, rather than just once, it sends it up to 9 times. The first email is the correct one, with all the correct details, the repeat emails instead have the field names in place of the data (eg. {title_fieldname}). This is exactly what happens with the Contact US form too.
Similarly, in the admin back-end in the Joomla Content Manager, there are multiple entries under the chosen category. The first one is exactly as it should be, the repeat article entries just appear as "alias" and can't be clicked on.
:?
Do you think I installed the Forms package incorrectly or something? Any ideas? Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Hi bowman9991,
I haven't seen this behaviour before and I find it a bit baffling.
I wonder if you have the On Submit sequence set up so that there is a loop somewhere?
Please take a Form Backup using the icon in the Forms Manager and post it here (as a zipped file) or PM or email it to me and I'll take a closer look.

Thanks Bob. Here's the form zipped. It is an odd one.

Hi John,
The only thing I can see is that the Check Captcha needs to be the first action in the OnSubmit event and it needs an Event Loop action in the On Fail event. Please see this video.
Please see if this fixes the problem.

Fixed! Watched your tutorial and set the verify up properly and now both forms are fine. Thank you.
