Hi all

I have chronoform V3.1 installed in Joomla 1.5. French language pack is installed.

I have followed the following url for multi language form:

But when click form url, in the front end form is opening but I don't see neither EN/FR in the url. When I put EN/FR manually into the url, some other form is opening.

And also, I don't see chronoforms as content elements in Joomfish translations. Any ideas please?

Hi kumarangopi,

ChronoForms 3.1 is now a very old version. I suggest that you upgrade at least to CFv3.2

ChronoForms isn't designed to work with JoomFish. There is a multi-language plug-in in v3.2 (maybe in 3,1 too) that lets you translate text snippets from your Form HTML though. This will recongnise the current language setting.

But I see "multi lang" in plugins. I select multi lang and edit the form where it asks for

a. Languages supported >> I have given en-GB,fr-FR
b. Default language>> I have given en-GB

Then in Languages tab entered as following:

Language Strings:
NAME=Name
EMAIL ADDRESS=Email address
SUBJECT=subject
MESSAGE=Message

Language Strings:
NAME=Nom
EMAIL ADDRESS=Adresse Email:
SUBJECT=Sujet
MESSAGE=message


Then saved. Now the En/Fr version of forms not showing.

Should I upgrade V3.1 to V3.2 to make this multi language form work work? If so, which one is advisable:

a. V3.1 to V3.2
or
b. V3.1 to V4.0

Have you enabled the plug-in on the Form Plug-ins tab?

You should probably upgrade to CFv3.2

ChronoForms Version 4 is a major re-write of the Administration area and the way form processing works. I would recommend this for a new site, not necessarily for an existing site unless you need the MooTools Upgrade plugin enabled for some other purpose.

Yes. Multi lang is enabled in plugins tab.

Will there be any issue if I upgrade 3.1 to 3.2. Can you give any tutorial links?

Warning! Please clear your browser cache before using the new version!

If you have V3.1 RC3, RC4, RC4.11 or RC5.x installed then DO NOT uninstall, just use this automatic first time/upgrade pack which will upgrade the versions mentioned earlier to RC5.6.1, you may need to go to the "Upgrade SQL" page to fix some Database tables fields too, users with earlier versions should uninstall first, pay attention to backup your forms before uninstallation or you will lose them!
