I created a Joomla registration form (J1.5) following the ChronoForms v3.0 Tutorial and added the extra (phone) field through the forms wizard but it doesn't appear in the Joomla registration link. The email received by administration contains only Name, Username and Email -- no phone #. There has to be a way to add a new field ... can anyone help, please?

new field in Joomla registration form?
Hi pclc,
Are you using the standard Joomla! emails or custom ChronoForms ones? In either case you'll need to edit the template to include the phone number.

I didn't realize when I started the project that a field needed to be added to the Joomla database plus 9 core files edited. I had the standard Registration Form set up already so I did the editing and it works. (ChronoForms works great for submit forms!!) Thanks for answering :-)
Hi pclc,
I stringly advise that you do not ecit the core Joomla! database tables; nothing in ChronoForms requires this.
You may need to edit one file to redirect the registration process though this can also be handled better by using a template override or a PHP module like Jumi. I have no idea why you'd need to edit nine files.

Unless I missed something, it turned out not to be possible to add a field to the Registration Form using ChronoForms. Therefore, I had to edit (9) files (following the tutorials in the links).
Hi pclc,
With ChronoForms you create a new form to replace the Joomla! one. There is no need to dit any files except to redirect Joomla! to use the ChronoForms form (and that can also be done without hacking).
The tutorials you linked to have nothing to do with ChronoForms and I recommend that core files are left alone.

Hi pclc,
No, with ChronoForms you build a replacement for the Registration Form. Then it can contain whatever fields you want all the way from no fields to a couple of hundred.
