Dear reader,
I dont receive any email after someone submits a form with all the information they just entered.
But this only occurs when i use an emailaddress from my website.
The website is: <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.fyrfad.nl">www.fyrfad.nl</a><!-- w -->
When I want information to be sent to joost@fyrfad.nl, I dont receive anything.
However if I only change the emailaddresa to gipextra@gmail.com it does work.
Same problem occurs with any ....@fyrfad.nl emailaddress.
How is this possible?
Thanks in advance!
Joost

Hi Joost,
No idea - we do know that emails often get dropped if the To and From emails are the same (or aliases for the same account). They should be delivered OK if they are different email accounts.
Best to check with your Host / Email service provider.

Ok, At first I had the emails send to: joost@fyrfad.nl
And from: admin@fyfad.nl
However if i change the admin@fyrfad.nl into info@info.nl (or anything else) the problem isnt solved.
So, sadly, that isnt the problem.
Host cant be the problem I guess since we just switched hosts and we had we the same problem before.
Maybe it is our email application. Emails that get send to any ...@fyrfad.nl go to our host which redirects them to our google (gmail) application. (this is done via the mx-records at our host)
Maybe that this description pops up a potential problem? Otherwise i will keep searching😉
Thanks.

Hi Joost,
ChronoForms just passes the emails over to the Joomla! mailer and that passes them on to the configured mail server. It sounds as though they are getting that far OK. After that they have to get through the spam filters of the sending and receiving hosts . . .
