ChronoForms v4 to replace ChoconoConnectivity in J1.6

olafvdg 01 Jun, 2011
I can see how the powerful new structure of ChronoFroms v4 makes it easy in J1.6 to do lots of things we used to have ChronoConnectivity for in J1.5....

The thing I am struggling with is adding new records in the backend. Would it be possible to use a form in the backend to edit/add data like ChronoConnectivity does on J1.5?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Olaf,

I just add a form in the front-end but make it accessible only to Admins (drag the Authenticator action in the 'Security' group to the On Load event).

I don't know of any way of adding forms in the backend using ChronoForms.

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your reply.

I basically just would have thought that the 'Show Table' option had two extra buttons "Add" and "Edit", similar to the J1.5 ChronoConnectivity.

The workaround you suggest is possible, however, my admin customer will be using only backend for site maintenance, so to send them to the front end to maintain this table is a bit of a nasty workaround.

I think I'll have to wait for the J1.6 version of ChronoConnectivity... do you have any idea of the time schedule on this?

Hi Olaf,

Sorry, I have no idea about Max's plans for ChronoConnectivity.
