Attachment problems

Hello there,
I am using Chrono Forms, and seem to be having a problem.

1st - there is an option there to upload a picture .. When I receive the form, it just gives me the picture name.. no picture is attached to the email..

2nd - Instead of the form giving the FROM address as the sender (because they put in their address in the form), its coming out with the address its sending the email to.. MY address.. (so my address instead of the senders address is showing up in the FROM field of the email)..

3rd - the subject line is New Form Submitted, instead of what I set it to (ie New DJ Signup)..

Please can someone assist?

I have only been using this for 2 days but I think I can help with your 2nd and 3rd questions.

Go edit your form in the component on the general tab set the "Email the results" option to custom. That will override the default settings under configuration. Also on the same tab enter the form object values into the From email field: and From name field: boxes.

That should fix 2 of your 3 issues.

I am not 100% sure but I don't believe you can save an image into the database. You would have to write the file to a directory and save a link in the database. Then on your email template call the file to be displayed.

Let me know if you were able to fix the other 2.

Cheers

hiya pat..
thanks for the response🙂

What do I type in the Global Settings Config of the form?
I have got My own email address in there next to FROM EMAIL: and my name next to FROM NAME:.
PRIMARY EMAIL: is also my own address.

I have 4 different forms on my site. In each one of them, I have specified that the results be emailed to me.

I am not really seeing where the "tabs" are that you are referring to..
On my set, I see the 4 forms listed underneath one another. I click on the one that I want to edit and a new screen appears with the fields that I can edit.

Also on the same tab enter the form object values into the From email field: and From name field: boxes.

ummmm, I dont see that on the new screen. On the new screen I have the following:

Form Name
Form HTML
Form Javascript
Redirect URL
Email the Results (which I have set to Yes)
Email address(es) (I have set this to the address I'd like the form to go to)
On Submit Code
Form Tag Attachment
Submit URL
Email Template

Thats it..
you see why I am confused?

Hi,

You are using the old version, regarding ur questions :

#1- configure the global setting as you wish.

#2- at every form choose the send email to be "custom", this will override the "To email" and the "message subject" ONLY.

post again if u still face problems!

P.S: if u will upgrade dont forget to backup ur code, or ur forms will be deleted when u uninstall.

Cheers,

Max
