Cannot save the elements

ChosenAnointed 31 Mar, 2011
Hi,

I am unable to save the changes I make to elements when I use the form wizard. I can drag the elements into the drop box and edit their properties, then I click Apply and it shows Saved, but when I close the box it doesn't update the details.

I then saved the form to see if it will work, but it doesn't display any fields in the form.

Mootools upgrade plugin has been enabled. Using Joomla v. 1.5.22

Pls help!

Hi ChosenAnointed,

Juts checking - you have to click Save on the Tool Bar as well as the flag on the modal window.

I have seen some occasional saving problems with CFv4; I think most of the time they are because I had invalid values somewhere on the form :-(

Okay, so when I edit the elements there's a box with the save flag. Is there an additional save button in that box or are you talking about saving it after I made all the edits, saved it with the flag and closing the box and then saving the whole form afterwards? Coz I did save it afterwards.

The site is a local installation on Wamp Server 2.1
I'm running Apache 2.2.17, PHP 5.3.4 and MySQL 5.1.53

Here are some screen shots:
Here I enter the details for the text box I've added, then I click the Apply flag at the top right and it shows that it has saved. Then I close it with the X button

After I've saved the changes in the box and close it, it hasn't been updated. I've tried adding a few different fields as well and save it, but when I preview the form, the page doesn't contain any elements.

Hi ChosenAnointed,

Please double check you are saving the form correctly, please check this post:

http://www.chronoengine.com/forums/index.php?option=com_chronoforums&cont=posts&f=26&t=21323&p=66992#p66992

Also please note that any changes like "label text" or so will NOT be reflected on the form in the wizard, only the form view in the frontend will have these changes AFTER you click the "Apply" or "Save" buttons at the top right corner of the page.

Which browser you are using ?

Thanks for the reply.

I did save it according to the instructions in the link you gave but it didn't work. It may be something in my setup I guess. Since I'm a bit pressed for time on the project I'm busy with, I decided to just use another component and it worked fine.

Thanks anyway for the support.
