Hello, I started using ChronoForms v4, a great improvement to v3.
I only have one issue; First I created a new form (with a wizard), but when I try to 'Create Table' I get the error '403 Forbidden, You do not have permission to access this document.'
What am I doing wrong? What can I do about it?
kind regards,
Birdy
Hi Birdy,
I've no idea, it seems to work OK here.
Do you get the message when you click the Create Table icon? or when you save the new table?
Bob
Yes, it's when I click on the 'Create Table' icon.
On another one of my site it is working properly though, so you would say it has something to do with the server?
I don't have enough knowledge about that, what could I be looking for or ask my host?
regards, Birdy
Hi Birdy,
Ahh . . . it's probably the index2.php problem. Does the same thing happen if you click the Edit or Copy icons in the toolbar?
I think that server mod_security settings block this by default. Your ISP can probably change the settings, or you can do a search and replace on the ChronoForms files to replace index2.php with index.php
The 'index2.php' is a hang-over from earlier versions of Joomla! that is now deprecated but should still work in Joomla! 1.5
Bob
Oh wait a minute, maybe I'm being a bit too naive here. Could it be ChronoForms_V3.2.0 conflicting with Chronoforms_V4_RC1.6 ?
(I still have a working form in version 3, so as long as I don't know that v4 is working properly a can't migrate that form...)
The v3 Form is working in the frontend, but I can't edit the form properly (moving and editing the elments in the form itself) unless I unpublish the 'System - Mootools Upgrade' plugin.
kind regards,
Birdy
Hi Birdy,
It shouldn't be a conflict between the two versions - one uses com_chronocontact and the other com_chronoforms so the URLs are distinct.
Bob
and this has also nothing to do with it?
'The v3 Form is working in the frontend, but I can't edit the form properly (moving and editing the elments in the form itself) unless I unpublish the 'System - Mootools Upgrade' plugin.'
Hi Birdy,
Possibly, though I doubt it.
ChronoForms v3.2 requires the MooTools Upgrade plug-in disabled; ChronoForms v4 requires it enabled so whilst you can have them both installed at the the same time they won't both work at the same time.
Bob
Hmmm, I don't have any trouble with Edit or Copy icons in the toolbar (of the editor you mean, right?). I also replaced all index2.php to index.php, still the same result (the url is now '/administrator/index.php?option=com_chronoforms' of course).
So I should ask my ISP to change the server mod_security settings to 'unblock' ?
Hi Birdy,
I don't have any more ideas about what the problem is here. I guess that checking the server logs might give some clues.
Bob
Well thanx for your efforts Bob!
I'm planning on creating a big and complicated form. I could try to create it in ChronoForms3, but will it be possible to export v3 forms to v4?
Birdy
Hi Birdy,
Did you find anything useful in the server logs?
I scanned through the Create Table code and don't see anything there that looks likely to casue this error.
There is not way at present to transfer forms from ChFv3 to CFv4 except by copying and pasting over the main blocks of form code and then re-adding everything else by hand. I don't know if Max plans enything more sophisticated for the future.
