Another component is already using directory ...

LS,

I try a re-install, but get this error message.
All chronoformfiles/folders deleted, also the table in the database.
I checked all my files - and found no other file with 'chrono' in its name.

Please some advise!

I think that we've seen this problem before in the forums here. I don't have time to search right now, will have a look later.

Are you using Joomla 1.5beta by any chance?

The problem is solved with the XML-file from your message in the How to - forum!

I am using joomla 1.0.12 - so your fix can also be used for 1.0.12!
