Exchange server doen't like email from ChronoContact

jeisenberg 24 Feb, 2011
I'm using ChronoContact plugin in Joomla. Emails are sent to an address on an Exchange server. That address then forwards from the Exchange server to 2 other contacts. What I can't figure out is that the 2 forwarding addresses receive the email but the main mailbox on the Exchange server does not. it's as if the Exchange server will accept the email and foward off to the two other addresses, but doesn't allow it to the inbox. Works fine when sending from anywhere else. This problem only happens when sending from chronocontact.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use google apps, i wonder why the form can send to yahoo mail, but not working with the google apps mail... what could be the problem here? can you help me?

Hi yofiesetiawan,

Is this a problem with Exchange Server and Google Mail.

I've often used ChronoForms with Google Mail with not problems. If there is a problem it is most often because the email is being marked as possible spam.

Hi yofiesetiawan,

Probably it can be fixed but hard to know how without much more information on the problem.

Hi badbrad,

Please check the following, particularly g & h:

a) That 'Send Emails' is set to 'Yes' on the Form General tab

b) That you have a valid Email Setup - if the box is green it's valid, red is invalid (see d below)

c) That you have set 'Enabled' to 'Yes' in the Email Setup Properties box

d) A valid Email Setup requires To, Subject, From Name and From Email elements (or the Dynamic equivalents) in the *same* setup box.

e) The element boxes must contain strings for the static elements or valid input names from the form for the Dynamic elements.

f) The To and From Email boxes must contain valid email addresses

g) The From Email address should match the Domain name.

h) The To email address should not be the same as the From Email address.
