Is there a possibility the component to stop working

A friend of mine who used the free version ot chronoforms told me that after a month he realised that the forms didn't work and didn't send e-mails. I also use now the free version of the component and I am worry about that, what happened to him. Is it true or he make a mistake and he made it to stop working properly.

Nothing changes in ChronoForms after a month - or at any other time; unless someone changes the site setup.
