Unable to send emails through SMTP

Hey guys,

First of all I wanted to say thanks for this wonderful component. I'm a big fan!

As to the problem at hand:

After having some problems with missing emails from VirtueMart, I switched my Joomla configuration to work with SMTP and Gmail. Everything was working fine and I did indeed receive emails from Virtuemart.

However, since that change, I have been unable to receive any emails from the Contact form which uses ChronoForm. When I switch back to PHP Mailer, everything works again.

Is there something I'm missing here? Maybe I need to configure ChronoForms to handle the SMTP sending differently?
