I currently have a form it works fine, but the time has passed for people to submit the information using the form. I need to keep the form up and live but I need to somehow trigger when someone tries to use it that it has passed the date for submittals. Is that possible? If yes, if you could point me in a direction on how to trigger that. I looked through the setup of the extension but I didn't see a way to do that.

The Watchman plugin will let you set (opening and) closing dates for a form.

This what I'm trying to accomplish: I need the form not to work at all, and the end user should get a pop-up as soon as they click on a field stating that the submission period has ended.

Will Watchman do that?

No, from what I remember the Watchma either shows a message saying that the form is closed, or redirects the user. It's a while since I used it.

If you want the poup JavaScript alert then you'll need to add a script to do that.
