Blank page on submit

trenen 30 Dec, 2009
Hi,

When I click submit on the form I created I get a blank page rather than the confirmation page or even a redirect that I setup. I've looked through all the threads that I could find on this matter and nothing seems to solve the issue. I have set the error reporting to maximum and there are no errors showing up on the blank page. I've tried setting up the form with and without a captcha and the problem persists. I originally was having problems getting a blank page any time I try to save a new form or access the forms management link. I have since fixed that problem by turning off the rss feed. Unfortunately, I now have this problem with submissions from the site. Any ideas?

Hi trenen,

There are two kinds of 'blank' page. One wher ejust the template shows but there is no content; the second where there is nothing at all - just a plain white browser window.

I take it that you are seeing the second of these.

Do you get this with the ChronoForms Demo Form? or just with the form you hae created?

Thank you for your assistance. I just tested the demo form and I do not get the blank browser window, so it's only happening with the form that I created using the form wizard.

** update **
I think I narrowed it down. It appears when I have file uploading enabled I get the blank browser window on the submission. When I turn the file uploading off the form goes through and everything works as its supposed to. Unfortunately, I have to have the file uploading enabled. Does this give any more clarity on what the problem is?

Hi trenen,

Probably some problem with the file uploading. Set the Site Error Reporting to Maximum temporarily and see if you get a useful error message.

It could be file write permissions on the temporary folder, or something wrong with the ChronoForms file upload settings, or one or two others.

I got it figured out. Once you told me about permissions the solution presented itself. It turned out I needed a folder in the components/uploads that was the title of the form with write permissions on. Thanks a lot for all your help🙂
