Display content with a module

firestarter 03 Nov, 2009
Hi all, What I am trying to do is very advanced for me but I'm struggling to do it and I need your ideas and guidings.
This is gonna be a project project submission form. I will modify the submitcontent form by adding a dropdown list to select category, a radio button with 3 or more option to select difficulty for the project, also user will be able to add some photos and of course, a description for the project with a wysiwyg editor. Each entry will register a unique id into database. After that, the very difficult part for me is beginning; after reviewing, I would like to display this project entry as a content under the category user selected and with a module inserted into the content area showing that the category, difficulty and main photo as a thumbnail with a custom css.(will look like a info display). the Unique id will help me to call the related data for each project entry.

I'm not a developer guy, so it is getting a pain for me, any suggestion or idea appreciated.

Hello,

This is a bit late answer, what you are trying to do has been discussed here before, its not easy to do but also not impossible, but you have to be a little comfortable with php coding, and you have to know some details about the joomla core code and db tables as well, try to search the forums for old posts or wait for sometime ? I'm developing a new product which should make tasks like this much easier and follow a specific common rules/guidelines!
