On its own, my form works fine with ReCaptcha, but when I use the {chronocontact}formname{/chronocontact} in an article, the text:

{ReCaptcha}

is simply printed on the screen. No actual ReCaptcha functionality. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to escape the command somehow or something to make it work within the {chronocontact} function?

It ought to run OK - so that sounds like a bug in the ChronoForms release or the ReCaptcha plugin. (It gets quite complicated getting plugins to run inside plugins).
