Datepicker Issues: No Navigation + Date Formatting

dennybot 01 Apr, 2009
Hello, I'm trying out Chronoforms (version 3.0 STABLE) after experiencing loads of problems with Blue Flame Forms. If things work out I'll definitely buy a license.

I'm finding my way around pretty well, but am having issues with the datetimepicker functionality.

1. First, there is no "previous/next month navigation" in my datepicker. Just the current month.

2. In the current month that is showing, March, it is showing the 30th as the last day in the month. There are 31 days in March...

3. I cannot find any way to format the date. I found a few post on this when I searched, but all I could find was someone mentioning a "general" tab under chronoforms where you could format the date. I don't see it anywhere in my version.

Here's the form. I would truly appreciate any help on this!

Hi Dennybot,

All these issues are solved in V3.1 BUT I'm about to release a new version in 1 or 2 days so I suggest you get the new version and get comfortable with it then get the new V3.1 RC4 when its out and start building your forms, you can also build forms in V3.1 RC3 and then restore them to RC4 when it comes out!

Thanks for the quick reply!

Are you suggesting that perhaps I rebuild the forms in the new version (3.1x) rather than backup and restore an existing form?

I ask because I just did a quick backup of the form in the original post, uninstalled 3.0, installed 3.1 RC3, and restored my form. All seemed well but now no calendar datepicker is showing up at all.

"Load JS" is turned on, by the way.

I guess the question is, do I need to recreate a form from scratch?

Hi dennybot,

Try creating a new mini-form with just a date-picker and see if that works OK.

There was a little bug with datepickers where the field name/id had been changed but otherwise all should be OK.

Hi dennybot,

well, date fields created using V3.1 RC2 or earlier will not work with RC3 or later, the component is passing by some changes so as I said, you can create the form in RC3 and restore it later and if you got troubles then we will find a way to fix it!

Yes, that did it - recreating the form in RC3. The imported form from version 3.0 was not working.

Good to go for now, thanks all.
