Joomla 1.5 RC1 is out

Hi,

sorry for bothering you again, but as Joomla 1.5 RC1 is out by today, and is meant to be production stable, are you going to release a version of chronoforms in the upcoming weeks?
As I have my Site already finished to about 90% with Joomla 1.5, I am thinking of either using a form script and include it with the wrapper, or maybe even wait for a version of chronoforms.

If you could let me know if you will get out a version within the next 2 - 3 weeks out, would help me a lot in my decision.

thanks,
Mario

Hi Mario,

I believe that someone tested ChronoForms with a 1.5 version under the legacy options and there was one small problem that was easily fixed.

Max has said that he will support 1.5 but I have no idea how much work is involved in making ChronoForms fully 1.5 compatible.

Hi Bob,

using chronoforms in legacy-mode would be totally fine for me at the moment. Any Idea who got chronoforms fixed to work in J1.5?
I tried to figure it out myself, but as I am not a coder, I got lost very quickly.

thanks,
Mario

Hi Mario,

This thread is all the info I've seen. There was one bug with a recent beta and the fix is posted there.

Later: I did a little research and it looks as though it will be 'fairly' simple to upgrade ChronoForms to work with a new install of Joomla 1.5. Upgrading old sites from Joomla 1.0.x to 1.5 may not be so easy (though the ChronoForms part doesn't look difficult)!

Post edited by: GreyHead, at: 2007/07/22 13:01
