Using Joomla plugins

bksaunders 17 Feb, 2009
I'm using a Joomla tool-tip plugin in ChronoForms and everything works fine. However, the plugin does not work in ChronoConnectivity. Can Joomla plugins work in ChronoConnectivity? If so, is there a special setting in ChronoConnectivity I need to use? Thanks.

Hi Brian,

I think that there is some enable mambots option in every connection page, no ?

Yes Max,

There is. I tried that but I need the Mambot to work on the edit form in Front Permissions and Admin Config. Can the mambots work there?

Hi Brian,

in the frontend yes, in admin no, this will need a core hack to get it in the edit page though, try to see how its done for the view page and copy it to the edit page ?

Cheers

Max,

Thanks for the info. The front-end is where I need it most. Not sure what you mean by "see how its done for the view page". Can use give me a little more direction?

The mambot/plugin use format is:
{tooltip}tip title{end-link}here's the tip text{end-tooltip}

This works perfectly in ChronoForms (thanks!). Peace.

Hi Brian,

I meant to open the components/com_chronoconnectivity/chronoconnectivity.php and see the code for it and copy it to the correct place, give it a try and let me know the results!

Max
