SMTP-enabled forms

Ensure form submissions are delivered using SMTP.

Overview

The form was not reaching recipients because the Joomla site was not configured to use an SMTP mailer.
In the Joomla Global Configuration, set the Mailer to SMTP and ensure the configured 'From' address is supported by your mail server.

Hello

Recently, there have been problems with the recipient of my form. The form is embed here:

https://www.wohntraum.ch/kontakt

When I fill out the form and send it, it never reaches the customer. My provider said that the form must be an SMTP-enabled form.

Is ChronoFroms v7 an SMTP-enabled form and where can I set it up so that it can be sent to the entered recipient?

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

In joomla administration, Check that SMTP is enabled

Global configuration  => Server  -> Mail  -> Mailer   : SMTP

Answer

Chronoforms will use whatever mailer setup in your Joomla global configuration, so if you enable SMTP and test that it works then your form should use that, if you configure a different "From email" then make sure your mail server supports this "From" address, otherwise the mailing will fail
