I'm a graphic designer.
This means that i haven't at all programming knowledge so...
i want a step by step guide on how to connect the chronoforms (a great component indeed)
and the Community Builder.
I search the forum but i didn't find anything to understand clearly.

I'm using Joomla 1.5.3 and Chronoforms 3

Hi john, tell me how do you want them connected ?

Well i want the user to register in the site
and then he will be having access to an application form.
When is going into the application form i want the fields that has already fill to the CB registration form
(first name, last name, address, zip, city, username and email),
appears to the application form that i was building with Chronoforms.

PS. I see something similar to another thread in thhis forum, but i don't understand anything.

Ok, the application for should have the profiler plugin loaded and configured to conncet with the jos_comprofiler table, then you can load any column data with this formula : {column_name}

1) How i load and configure the application form with the profiler plugin.
2) How i connect with the jos_comprofiler table
3) How can o load any column data with the formula that you give me.

ok, one by one, #1, create your form and at the plugins tab check the profiler plugin, save the form, now check your form checkbox and click the profiler in the left side and configure it and click save, good ?

I need to write something in the fields when i connect the form with the CB Registration ?

Step 1. I create the form
Step 2. In the plugins tab i check the profiler plugin and save
Step 3. I check the form that i have created and then click on the left side on the CB Registration plugin
Step 3 and half. The CB registration open and then i stop.

wrong, step 3 should be check the form and click the profile plugin from the left, now choose jos_comprofiler from the tables list, leave the 2nd field empty, the last field will load some fields names, choose the first or 2nd one, id or userid, click save, go to your form again and in the HTML add at the top {id}

save your form, open it in the browser, login to the frontend and view the form again, you should see at the top some number like "62" which is the logged in user's id, this works ?

I think that there is a bug here.
When i check the form and click on the CB profile plugin
then this page opens and i can't choose anything.

under plugins on the left there are :

CB Registration
Joomla Registration
Profile Page

please click "profile page" and not "CB registration"

Please don't double post!

Did you follow the tutorial exactly ? you need to have either CB plugin (if you have CB installed) or Joomla plugin enabled and configured for one form only, and don't enable the profile plugin at all!

Why I can use {firstname} {lastname} but cannot use {email} for example. I don't see email in jos_comprofiler. I also don't see {name}. Is it possibe to use more than one table?

Well.... there isn't. But it is in my case. Thanks to this post and yours exact step by step solution I could finally connect to database and use some information from. I figured out that someone like me after reading this post will find himself in same situation. OK Im sending new post in that case. Sorry for confusion.

Happy New Year
I am trying to get Cb connected to Chronoforms No luck
here are the steps I done
1- create HTML form
2- checked in the DB connections ..table comprofile
3- checked in profile plugin and saved
4- checked in the form then clicked on profile .. choose the id field then save
5- when I click on the form link I got the form
6- I still get the CB registration form when I clicked on CB register button

I am trying to get the chrono form when I clciked on CB registeration button

I tried too CB registration plugin and filled some of the table field with the equivalent in the
Chrono form

I tried CB 1.0 and 1.2

I am so interested to get it to work ..creating a form in chrono form is amazing ..give me all the flexibility not in any other extensions

Hi rania,

Please down-load the Joomla Registration tutorial from the DownLoads area. Follow this through but using the CB Registration PlugIn instead of the Joomla Registration one.

Hi aliseonew, the profile plugin is different, read the tooltips in the profile config page and you will get more ideas, search the forums too because it has been explained many times before! let me know if you still facing problems after this.

If so, there is a little bug - I posted a fix (for Heiko I think) just yesterday, maybe the day before.

The file that the error reports is Joomla's Module helper and at line 145 it is trying to load the com_content parameters.

Unfortunately we don't know what module it's rendering at that moment - or what the connection with ChronoForms is?

I have the same problem as bfuzerio when I try to enable the Email Verification plugin ;

I have tried to search for solutions but have not found any so far. Everything else is working great, but I would like a verification email to be sent, which I cannot, either with this plugin or trying to add a dynamic to. I'm new to joomla and chronoforms, so possibly things that seems very basic to you are very complex to me :wink:

I disabled the plugin and set up two emails for the form instead, this works, but it would be nice to use this plugin instead, here is what I tried to put in the emailverifcation. (Changed the emailaddress)

lets try with a "TO" first and not a dynamic TO

add an email address to the TO and remove the Dynamic to and make sure the the plugin is enabled and show me a screenshot for the DB config tab of the plugin and show me a screenshot for the DB table of this form ?

Hye guys,

Just wanna ask. I'm using chronoform v3. I setup all ask told to make data review at the form by using profile page. The weird is the data does not review at the form. But only review at edit form page. I wanna it view at fronted view not at edit view..
