Which ones of these do you "rarely" use ?
I use a few forms, some smaller and some larger. The large forms/lists make use of the above features.
Many of features which writte rbock are very important for me too.
Example i have in all my forms conditional fields.

Hello,
I'm currently testing CF 8 as a 10-day free version because the new version is said to be better.
But unfortunately I can't find the newly announced functions and options here.
Where are all the functions that were listed by rbock?
So far I can't do anything with CF8...

Just installed CF8.07 , looks very good already.

@Peter64, @roman5527, Could you please list the exact validation and events you are missing so that I give them a priority ?
Hi, Max. I most often using event /hide, show/ with conditional equal or not equal .
and in version 8.0.7 i miss the field Calendar with detail setting - example here : https://ibb.co/48sJXhz and

Hi,
where can I find "Table list" now?
Is there also an icon view? Now I have to enter the name of the icon. However, the name of the icon depends on the FontAwesome version.

Hi Max,

Hi Peter,
New v8.0.8 has validation rules, I do not think Length or Number will be needed because they can be done using Regex or Function.
@roman, it will take some time to add the fields events and the calendar, but hopefully soon they will be ready.
@Fredolino, most icons names do not change, we use font awesome 6
No table list yet, what are you trying to do ?

Hi Max,
the update on my local WIndows 11 machine trigger a: "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml MS" detection in "www\joomla4\tmp\install_64c974eabaa0e\admin\pages\chronoforms\actions\php\output.php"
any ideas?

because of the "eval" function in the file, this is needed to run the PHP code, you can ignore it
@Max thnaks for informations.
I have a few observations about the calendar field, which would be good to solve in version 8.
In version 7, there were only some languages in the translations of the calendar, it might be good to come up with the possibility of adding your own language.
Also add the possibility to specify time gaps / 5 min, 10 min, ... /
Possibility to specify the days when it is closed.
I know that these are all difficult things and please take it only as a possibility, which would be nice.

Hi Max,
Looks very good, most missing layout properties from CF7 can be overcome by CSS en HTML (e.g. horizontal radio group)
Small question, can CF8 exists next to old CF7 in same site?

yes, v8 can be with v7 on same site
For correct layout I mentioned that things can be done with CSS but I run into some problems with identification in CSS.
Is it possible to add an ID's to the top DIV-container for multi field- radiogroup- checkboxgroups-elements etc, so they can be identify with CSS?
and some some missing functions for me in CF8
- page navigation
- hidden behavior
- events behavior ("show") so fields can be make visible on previous choises
thanks

Is there any plan to make a "Connectivity" version of Chronoforms 8?
@Peter, the new 8.0.10 has Horizontal mode for Radios/Checkboxes, is this what you need ?
You can navigate between pages, just pass chronopage=pageNumber in the URL, first page number is 0
A hidden behavior and events are supposed to be added soon
@webbusteruk, I'm not sure if it will be added to CF8 or as a new extension, did you like Connectivity as a CF7 mode or CC6 for you was better ?

Hi Max,
Horizontal mode is what I meant, tnx!
In CF7 there is submit-page setting so you can go to next page or previous (or what ever page you want)
I'm not sure what you mean "pass chronopage=pagenumber" is there a button behavior where I can set this ?
Is there already a way to act on the result of the several action (eg "Save User" ) so a SUCCESS and FAIL part
Peter

Hi Peter,
How do you want to move between pages, give me an example.
Save user will error if the save is not successful, or proceed if its, I think this is enough, or not ?

Hi Max,
Via the Button element (the SUBMIT type no only goes to the next page, in CF7 you could select a page via the advanced setting -> submit-page value)
In .
Again in CF7 there is a FAIL and SUCCESS part in eg "Save User" and "Save Data" action in which other elements can be dropped.
How must this be accomplish at the moment in CF8 (8.0.10) ?
btw:
I pachted a little bit the views\area_multi_field\output.php on #11 to at a div ID :
<div class="equal fields" id="<?php echo "ID_" . $element["id"]; ?>">
it would be nice if a HTML attribute behavior could be added to the "MULTI_Field AREA"

When do you need a "fail" event for "Save user" or "save data" ? the save user will stop further processing if it fails and reloads.
Save Data may fail if your settings have a problem, but do you want it to fail ?

I also want to know how do you plan to "switch" pages in general, how does your form work ?
well I used the functionality in CF7 "Button"element , type: SUBMIT and in the advanced setting I choose "Submit page" and then you van select the page to jump to. So you can have a "next" and "previous" navigation in my multi-page questionnaire form..
Ok, the next page button is the normal submit button, and the previous page button can be an HTML like this:
<a href="form_url&chronopage=0" class="nui button grey">Back</a>
To be honest it doesn't matter much either way, but I really only use Chronoconnectivity as you can even build forms with it. Chronoforms feels more like a simpler and less technical version of Chronoconnectivity.
The way it works in Chronoforms7 is perfectly fine, if that makes maintaining code easier. We just need it to have separate standalone "Pages", "Views" and "Functions", and the ability to call views/functions/variables everywhere.
Now that I'm getting more to grips with CF7, I like it a lot more visually than CF6/CC6 although it is still buggy and lacking functionalities (which I've got around by basically just using my own jQuery/PHP code).
If you can make CF8 at least as good as CF7, that'll be perfect!
